SpeechExec Transcribe gives transcriptionists controlled playback and a worklist for incoming dictations, so they can listen, type and track completed jobs. Choose Basic for a straightforward transcription station or Pro for additional notification and recognition-correction workflows.

Licenses bought elsewhere need a customer-requested review before ordering a renewal. SpeechExec version 10 and older require an upgrade to a subscription.

Compatibility and setup

All standalone New License and Renew / Expired options provide the latest respective SpeechExec edition for a two-year term.

Philips’ current SpeechExec documentation specifies Windows 11 Pro/Enterprise, a compatible sound device, a USB port, a 1 GHz dual-core processor and 4 GB RAM. These are the current Philips software requirements; use the requirements for the SpeechExec release you install. The manuals describe administrator rights for installation, internet activation and an internet connection at least once every seven days when working offline.

Philips documents ACC2300-series foot controls, including ACC2330. Connect the USB foot control to the computer and use a compatible headphone output for listening.

Philips’ current Pro documentation describes optional integration with supported desktop Dragon software, including Dragon Professional 16 Individual/Group and Dragon Legal 16. Supported applications depend on the SpeechExec release and recognition setup. Recognition requires a separately purchased Dragon application and the matching SpeechExec recognition activation described by Philips. Confirm the edition and setup before choosing this workflow; Dragon Professional 16 Subscription is excluded by that Philips manual.

Pro can correct documents already processed by speech recognition; Philips says this correction workflow does not itself require Dragon to be installed. SpeechLive requires its own account and subscription.

I've used Philips SpeechExec software for my transcription since 2020. My computer crashed at work, and I got a new one (Windows 11) and downloaded the new SpeechExec software. It runs smooth as silk. The hospital allowed me to download it to my computer because Philips is such a reputable company. Thanks so much!

Philips SpeechExec Transcription Software

I can no longer get this software to work. It used to load right up when I plugged in the recorder. I renamed the dictation and then proceeded with transcribing. Now, since the license has expired and I have purchased a new license, nothing seems to work. I can find no files, download no dictations and this is now useless to me. I feel like i just got duped out of $198.

Philips SpeechExec Transcription Software

This is my first time using dictation equipment. I absolutely love the pedal option to go back and forth. I do wish there was/I had found an option to buy the pedal, headset, and software in one place on this website. Also, apparently, there is a setting where I can sync my email with the software to bring over dictations. I was not able to set that up, but as a workaround, I save the dictation to my computer then import into the software using "File". Overall, after two weeks of use, excellent program. Thank you.
