Applications and setup

The LFH3500 is a USB audio input for supported speech-recognition applications, including Dragon Medical One (DMO) and Nuance Dragon Professional 16. Use a supported Windows workstation for DMO and configure button actions through the application's integration or Philips SpeechControl.

Philips SpeechLive explicitly supports LFH3500 browser dictation. Connect it through the documented Chrome or Edge hardware setup, using Philips Device Connector and Event mode where required. Audio input, recording commands and trackball mouse control serve different functions. Philips lists Windows and macOS hardware configuration, with some Mac functions limited; verify your application and remote-desktop setup when matching the microphone to a workstation.

Philips SpeechControl drivers and configuration tools are free downloads. Paid dictation and speech-recognition applications are purchased separately; this hardware offer includes no paid license or subscription.

Philips SpeechMike LFH3500

I have to say, the speech recognition capabilities of this product are truly remarkable, particularly when used with the Dragon software. It's easily the most precise transcription setup I've ever used. However, I did encounter some difficulties when trying to integrate it with Dragon Professional Individual 15, and setting it up ended up being more complex than I expected. Although it functioned well for about 10 months, it suddenly stopped working, but thanks to the efficient warranty service, I received a replacement quickly. Despite these challenges, I'm currently pleased with its performance and believe it's an invaluable tool for my transcription needs.
