Is AI Speech Recognition automatically included?
AI Speech Recognition is an additional SpeechLive option. DictaMic will confirm the appropriate licensing and configure it for the users who need to generate or review transcripts.
Can typists still use a foot pedal and headset?
Yes. A typist can use a compatible foot pedal and headset for traditional transcription and for listening to the original audio while reviewing an AI-generated transcript.
Can attorneys record from a phone or portable recorder?
Yes. Attorneys can use the SpeechLive mobile app or upload recordings from a professional portable recorder. Compatible microphones can also record while connected to a computer running SpeechLive.
Does AI Speech Recognition replace the typist?
Not necessarily. It changes the typist's work from creating every word manually to reviewing, correcting, formatting and finalizing the AI-generated transcript against the original audio.
What is the difference between AI Speech Recognition and Legal AI?
AI Speech Recognition produces a transcript of the dictation. The upcoming Legal AI Assistant goes further by mapping direct dictation and supporting sources into a structured legal-document template.
